“Dragon Archipelago,” small original watercolor and acrylic on paper
“Dragon Archipelago,” small original watercolor and acrylic on paper
This little watercolor and acrylic on paper is one I did quite a while ago... I was annoyed with the painting I was working on, and impulsively I focused on my painting palette, liking the way it looked better than the way my painting looked. So I took a small piece of watercolor paper and pressed it to the palette to make a sort of monoprint. Of course, I couldn’t leave it at that, but kept painting and even added some metallic gold. I loved the shapes and colors, which reminded me of a dragon…and then it reminded me of a string of islands in the ocean (hence the word “archipelago”). So I titled the tiny painting “Dragon Archipelago,” and there you have it.
This original painting comes unframed (it will need to be framed under glass), and it measures 4 1/8” x tall by 5 1/4” wide.
