SUSAN KENNEDY ART FALL SHOW PAGE

I certainly get obsessed with themes and colors and this fall has been no exception. The light, reflections and colors of water and underbrush, sky and tree have been my latest themes, and I hope that the scent of the woods and streams of the South are brought to mind for my viewers. I’ve swung back toward impressionism, but still with plenty of abstraction. Putting down thick, textured brushstrokes quickly and messily is a delight, one which may, if I’m lucky, come through in my work. I even go so far as to hope that you can see glimmers of hope and heaven in these works.

This is a small painting I did a while back and revised a bit this week to add a little more color. It's an impression of grass, brambles and morning sun. It's done on canvas which I mounted on hardboard, and it comes unframed. It measures 10" wide by 8" high. It's signed with my initials, SDK. I hope you enjoy it!
